The Boardwalk Restaurant is a hidden gem in Miles City. A locally owned family restaurant provides a very casual, yet down to earth setting. As far as pricing goes, you're getting the biggest bang for your buck in town. I highly recommend the chicken fried steak with white gravy and hash browns. They don't serve alcohol so, but you can byob. You can thank me later.

This place takes me back to an earlier America - simple menu, home cooking, real ranchers and a few bikers homeward bound from Sturgis. Like the others write, it ain't fancy but it's tasty and the waitstaff is good...they know all the locals. I wish my America wasn't stolen by bankers and corporate shysters.

Good prices but the rib eye was under cooked. The baby back ribs were only warm when served. Service left a lot to be desired. Will give them the benefit of a Friday night and very busy.

Really? 5 stars? These people have no clue what food is. We went in because it was the busiest place in town. I guess the people in Miles City have mothers who really can't cook. Cinnamon bread was homemade, but what kind of home and when? Last month? Despite their effort to keep it fresh with the environmentally friendly plastic wrap of Every piece... It was still stale. Decided to go with safe... Spaghetti, "homemade" mushroom soup and a chicken sandwich and fries. My thought was, at the very least it might be Prego. (Listen, after all the bad meals we have had the past couple of days this actually seemed like a good option... Not that it makes it right.) They were "out of buns for the sandwich, didn't have time to run to the market. Would it be OK if they used a hoagie bun?" OK. The chicken sandwich was made of Sysco fried chix fingers and topped with government issued white mystery cheese. But the bacon on it was good. The Spaghetti totally took me back to my childhood. Just like my mother made (but my mother did not over cook the noodles). This says Nothing! I was raised by an ethnic, Asian, immigrant. Think about it for a minute. The homemade mushroom soup was literally heavy cream with cooked mushrooms, salt and pepper. I could not detect any broth or other seasoning. (see picture) I fished out the mushrooms (I was desperate for nutrients of any sort) and then there was that last piece of Welllll, I'll call it mystery meat. There was a speck of something that I still can't figure out what it was as it was definitely not a mushroom. (now that I am thinking about it, perhaps something fell in the pot along the way.) Should have gotten the chicken fried steak.

Granted, the ribeye is not the best there is...but, this is not a high end steakhouse! This is a great rundown looking place with really great staff and the chicken fried steak is the bomb! This is a chicken fried home style place and you can be comfortable and treated nice after driving a gazilion miles! What a relief. Too few and far between if you ask me.

I travel for work and I've eaten in restaurants from NY to San Diego and Bozeman to Miami. This is one of the worst anywhere. Bad food and worse service. Stay away!

Four / five stars? Are you kidding me? What a bunch of easy graders the fine people of MN are. I wish you all had taught my calculus class in college. A slab of fatty ribeye ( their signature steak ) and your average baked potato served with a golf ball sized sphere of butter. No room on the side of the plate for the plastic cup of sour cream... Oh wait let's just put the plastic cup ON TOP of the steak! Don't even get me going on their idea of a dinner salad. Save a bunch of money, fill your gas tank, wolf a chain burger or taco and drive on. Oh, and don't tell me the ice cream is "free". Aren't we all a bit wiser than to fall for the FREE gimmick? No bad reflection on the wait staff, because they were quite good.

This place is good - it's not fine dining- that's not what it's trying to be. Great prices - fast service and free ice cream for dessert. The ribs are a great deal and yummy. Huge portion for the price. Opens at 5 daily for dinner.

my favorite thing at this delicious family restaurant was how they weaved different kinds of cheese together and then melted them on your sandwich. it looked cool, and it was delicious.
